Midnight Fairytale~Part 1

IN A SMALL TOWN



Midnight: *walking through town* *sighs happily* That was a great book! I can't wait to get the next one!

She walks into a library

Librarian: Good day, Midnight! How did you like the book?
Midnight: *gives the book* It was great! There was so much excitement and adventure that I felt like I was actually there!
Librarian: Well that's wonderful! Would you like another book?
Midnight: *looks at her favorite shelf for a book* *disappointed* Where's the next book? Did someone check it out already?
Librarian: *looks at computer* Afraid so, my dear. Would you like to wait for it?
Midnight: Yeah, sure. I'll wait. Too bad though. I was really looking forward to another story. *leaves*
???(a black and green hedgehog): *hiding in the shadows* Hmm... she likes stories, does she? *grins* Well then, I have the perfect tale for her. *disappears*
Midnight: *walks down the sidewalk* Well this sucks! Now I have nothing to read!

A black and green hedgehog is selling things on the sidewalk.

???: Hello there, young lady! You look like a girl who enjoys a good book!
Midnight: *smile* Sure do!
???: Then perhaps you would like this one! *holds out a large, beautiful storybook*
Midnight: *takes it* I looks amazing! What's it about?
???: It's a book of Fairytales! It's the best you'll ever find in all the world!
Midnight: *excited* How much for it?
???: *grins, but hides it with a friendly smile* For a lovely young lady like yourself, you can have it! No payment neccassary!
Midnight: Wow! Thanks! *runs off with the book*
???: *grin* Heh heh heh! *disappears*




AT MIGNIGHT'S HOUSE


Midnight: Oh boy! I can't wait to read this!
She sits on her bed with the book
Midnight: I wonder which fairytales are in it. I've read lots of them growing up, so I hope this one has some new tales!
Midnight opens the book to find it writen in a strange language
Midnight: *groans* Aw, come on! It's not in english? What kind of sick...

The words start to glow and a soft voice is heard,

Tale of old, heed my voice,
Show this girl the world of choice;
Take to a world, a world far beyond,
To the strange, beautiful world she thinks so fond;
Magic book of dark and light,
Show your magic to the girl, Midnight!

Suddenly, Midnight vanishes and the book falls closed on the bed



IN A DARK FOREST


Midnight: *wakes up* Where am I?
Midnight: *looks around* I am so not on Mobius anymore. Where in the world am I?
???: Welcome, Midnight!

A black and purple hedgehog girl all in white is standing nearby

Midnight: SonicRanger? Is that you?
SR?: I believe you have me mistaken for someone else. I am the White Fairy!
Midnight: White Fairy?
White Fairy: Yes, and I can see you're not familiar with this world.
Midnight: *looks around* No kidding. Just where am I? And how did I get here?
White Fairy: This is Fairy Forest! You are in the fairytale book world!
Midnight: *remembers* What? You mean I'm in my new book?!
White Fairy: *nods*
Midnight: Well, how do I get back? How to I leave?
White Fairy: *smiles* How do you finish any book? Read the stories to the end!
Midnight: You mean, I have to get through all the stories in this book to go home?
White Fairy: That's right!
Midnight: *sigh* Ok, well just how many stories are there? How do I read them?
White Fairy: The lovely thing about stories, is they tend to be real sometimes. And when they're real, you never know what could happen!

Then the White Fairy disappears

Midnight: Aw man! She's gone! And I still have no idea what I'm doing!

Midnight: *hears someone nearby* Sounds like someone else is here! Maybe they can help me! *runs towards the voice*

Midnight sees someone ahead and hides in some bushes

Midnight: *looks at the person* No way.

A little purple chameleon girl in a red cape is walking and whistling to herself with a basket of warm food

Midnight: *whispering to herself* She looks like Inez!
Inez?: I hope grandmother will like my treats!
Midnight: *surprised* Ok, definately not Inez! The Inez I know is mute!

Suddenly a hedgehog walks out of the shadows

Inez?: *stops* Oh! Hello there!
Midnight: *gasps* That's the guy who sold me the book!
???: *has wolf ears and tail* Greetings, little girl. And where might I ask are you going this fine day?
Inez?: I'm going to go see my grandmother! She's ill at this time, so I have treats to help her feel better!
???: That sounds lovely! And where, prey tell, does this dear grandmother of yours live?
Inez?: Why in the little cottage over the river and through the woods from here! You really can't miss it!
???: *grins* Is that so? Sounds lovely.
Inez?: Well, I really should be going! My grandmother is expecting me!
???: Before you go, I know a lovely little bush of roses nearby! I'm sure your grandmother would love them!
Inez?: Really? That sounds wonderful! I'll go pick some for her! *runs off*
???: Heh heh heh! *sneaks away into the shadows*
Midnight: *shocked* ...oh my gosh... I'm in the story... of Little Red Riding Hood! And I just watched her get tricked by the wolf that's going to eat her grandmother! Or was it she was trapped in the closet? I'm not sure which version of the story this one is, but now I'm in it!

Midnight walks out of the bushes

Midnight: Maybe I should tell Little Red Riding Hood about the wolf. That White Fairy did say I had to get through the stories to get home. She also said something about this story being real. Maybe that means I have to be a part of the stories.

Little Red Riding Hood walks back and sees Midnight

Little Red: *smiles* Hi there!
Midnight: Uh, hi! You must be Little Red Riding Hood!
Little Red: And you must be Midnight!
Midnight: How did you know?
Little Red: *smiles* Who doesn't know? It's your story!
Midnight: *remembers how the book and the White Fairy knew her name* *sighs* Just forget about it. This is weird enough.
Little Red: Well, I have to go see my grandmother now! *starts walking*
Midnight: *walks with her* You mind if I join you?
Little Red: *smiles* Not at all! I'd love the company!

They keep walking till they reach a little cottage

Midnight: I guess this is the place, huh?
Little Red: Uh huh! Grandmother's house! *knocks on the door* Grandmother, it's me! Little Red Riding Hood!
???: Please do come in, my dear!
Midnight: *remembers the story* (I wonder if I should warn Little Red Riding Hood about the wolf.) *follows Little Red in*

They walk into the Grandmother's bedroom where Midnight sees the hedgehog wolf dressed like the grandmother

Little Red: Hello, grandmother! I'm so happy to see... *notices how different her grandmother looks* Why grandmother, what big eyes you have!
???: The better to see you with, my dear!
Little Red: And what big ears you have!
???: The better to hear you with, my dear!
Midnight: (Maybe I should warn her. What if this is the version where the wolf eats Little Red?)
Little Red: Grandmother, what big teeth you have!
Midnight: *gasp* Little Red wait!
???: The better to eat you with!!*jumps at Little Red*
Little Red: *screams*
Midnight: *grabs Little Red and pulls her out of the way*
???: *grins* Hello again, Midnight.
Midnight: *keeping Little Red behind her* So it is the real you!
???: *jumps at them again, but misses*
???: *grins evily* Having fun yet?
???: *grabs Little Red*
Little Red: *scared* Please don't eat me!
???: *grins*

Suddenly, someone crashes through the door

Midnight turns to see a black and red hedgehog with a wicked awesome axe

Midnight: Ripper?
Ripper?: Get your hands off her, wolf!
???: *grin* *snaps his fingers and makes black wolves appear*
Ripper?: *hacks at them with his axe, turning them into puffs of black smoke*
???: *takes Little Red's basket and pulls something small out of it* Thank you, Red! *jumps out the window before "Ripper" can catch him*
Ripper?: *turns to Midnight and Little Red* Are you girls alright?
Little Red: Yes, thank you, mister Lumberjack!
Lumberjack: Where's your grandmother?
Midnight: *remembers something and opens the closet door*

The grandmother was inside, tied up

The Lumberjack, Midnight, and Little Red untie her and get her into bed

Granny: Thank you all for helping me. I was afraid that awful wolf was going to eat my dear sweet Little Red Riding Hood and I.
Lumberjack: It's not a problem, ma'am. I'm just glad everyone's alright.
Little Red: *turns to Midnight* Thank you for saving me, Midnight! I don't know how I could ever repay you!
Midnight: Actually, maybe you can help me. I'm trying to get home, but I have to get through this book. I'm not even sure how many stories there are or what the stories are.
Little Red: Oh, no one really knows that, but I'd be happy to help you!
Midnight: Great!
Granny: To get to the next story, you'll need to go deeper into the forest.
Midnight: That's great! Thanks! *about to leave*
Lumberjack: You're Midnight, correct?
Midnight: *stops* Yeah, that's me.
Lumberjack: *hands her a small key* Then I believe this is yours.
Midnight: *takes it* I've never seen it before. What makes you think it's mine?
Lumberjack: It has your name on it.
Midnight: *sees her name engraved on it* Oh. Guess that clears it up. *sticks it in her pocket* Thanks.
Granny: Be careful, dearies!
Little Red: We will, Grandmother! Bye! *follows Midnight out*
Midnight: *walking* Well, I guess we should head deeper into the forest. I just hope we don't get eaten by any wolves or whatever else lives out here.

With that, they keep walking.
